- Impartidos por el Centro de Formación ICA ofrecen a los protésicos dentales adquirir conocimientos sobre anestesia bucal y cuidados radiológicos en la atención bucodental, unas competencias profesionales que son exclusivas de los dentistas.
El Consejo General de Dentistas de España ha solicitado al “Centro de Formación ICA, SL” la retirada inmediata de varios cursos de formación dirigidos a protésicos dentales en los que se imparten conocimientos sobre anestesia bucal y cuidados radiológicos en la atención bucodental.
Entre estos cursos que se ofrecen en su página web (www.cursoshomologados.es), se encuentran “Anestesia Bucal para Protésicos Dentales”, “Cuidados Radiológicos en la Atención Bucodental para Protésicos Dentales” o “Fisiología y Anatomía en Atención Bucodental para Prótesis Dentales”.
De esta forma, el Centro de Formación ICA estaría ofreciendo una información engañosa ya que los cursos ofrecen a los protésicos dentales un desarrollo profesional en dos ámbitos que no son de su competencia como es el caso de la aplicación de anestésicos bucales o la actuación radiológica.
Por este motivo, los cursos anunciados también podrían constituir una incitación a delinquir dado que aquellos protésicos dentales que, una vez superados estos cursos, quisieran poner en práctica las capacidades adquiridas, podrían estar llevando a cabo actuaciones delictivas.
El Consejo General de Dentistas quiere aclarar a la población que –según la legislación vigente- los protésicos dentales son fabricantes de productos sanitarios hechos a medida y, por lo tanto, no pueden atender clínicamente a los pacientes ya que su trabajo se centra en el diseño, elaboración, fabricación y reparación de la prótesis dental, siguiendo siempre las prescripciones e indicaciones del dentista.
