Los Presidentes de los cinco Comités de Trabajo de la FDI World Dental Federation se reunieron recientemente en la ciudad de México. A esta reunión asistieron, además de los presidentes de los Comités, todo el equipo ejecutivo encabezado por la Presidenta de la FDI, la Dra TC Wong, y el Director Ejecutivo el Sr. Jean Luc Eiselier.
El objetivo principal de la reunión fue elaborar los borradores de las Declaraciones de Principio de la FDI sobre radiación, detección precoz del VIH y salud oral perinatal e infantil, que se aprobarán en el próximo Congreso anual a celebrar en Nueva Delhi a mediados de septiembre.
Asimismo se analizaron los resultados del pasado Día Mundial de la Salud Oral en el que han participado 106 países (37 más que en su edición de 2013). Al mismo tiempo se acordó trabajar de manera intersectorial con el objetivo de mejorar la eficiencia de los diferentes programas de Salud Oral que la FDI está desarrollando en más de 40 países en el mundo.
